The Honda Division has continued its record-setting sales streak for 2017 by setting a new February sales record with total sales for the month up 4.3 percent to reach 110,822 units sold. Sales for this past month were led by the CR-V which set a new February sales record with 31,898 units sold, 26.3 percent higher than last year. The HR-V also achieved a new record for the month with sales reaching 6,354 units which is 28.6 percent higher than last year. The Accord and Civic were also two of the most popular models for the month with sales reaching 23,455 and 27,039 units respectively. "The new CR-V is exceeding our own expectations with production and deliveries now fully up to speed," said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division. "It's clearly hitting a sweet spot in the market and complemented by HR-V at the entry level." Honda Sees Sales Increase During March
Honda reported their March sales last week showing an increase of 10.5 percent, selling a total of 123,369 units last month. Honda cars were up 12.7 percent after reaching 68,314 units, while Honda trucks were up 6.9 percent, selling 55,055 units. The Honda Civic continued to lead the way by a record-setting March performance with 26,985 units, a 12.7 percent increase. The Accord and HR-V also experienced great numbers in March selling 30,523 units and 6,398 units respectively. "The power of Honda's well-balanced portfolio was on full display in March," said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division. Civic Helps Honda Set February Record
The Honda Division’s sales were up 14.9 percent from February 2015 after selling 106,212 vehicles last month and setting a new February record for the brand. Many Honda vehicle segments also had an impressive month. Honda truck set a February record of their own, totaling 48,495. Honda cars also sold an astounding 57,267 vehicles. The 2016 Honda Civic was the brand’s best-selling model during February, selling a record 27,707 vehicles, resulting in an increase of 31.7 percent. The Accord helped Honda’s success, up 19.3 percent after selling 25,785 vehicles. The CR-V set a February record with 25,250 vehicles, rising 13.2 percent.
