The re-designed 2018 Honda Accord, rides on a new platform with new turbocharged engines and has an updated infotainment system. The 2-door coupe is gone and now all Accords are 4-door sedans.
For 2018, the Accord will come in six trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, EX-L Navi and Touring. The 2018 Honda Accord is available with two turbocharged four-cylinder engines including a 1.5-liter engine with 192 hp. The non-hybrid upgrade engine is a 2.0-liter engine with 252 hp. A six-speed manual is available on the Sport trims for both engines. Automatic transmission options include a CVT for the 1.5-liter unit or a 10-speed transmission for the more powerful 2.0-liter. The Accord Hybrid returns with an updated version of Honda’s two-motor hybrid system that couples a 2.0-liter I-4 to two electric motors and a lithium-ion battery for a total output of 212 hp.

The list of standard features includes a number of driver aids and active safety features. All trim levels come standard with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist and a rear view camera. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert comes standard on all 2.0-liter-equipped models; it’s optional on the 1.5-liter and hybrid-powered trims.
On top of blind-spot monitoring, 2.0-liter-equipped Accords get LED head- and taillights, proximity entry, remote start, a power moonroof, a 60/40-split folding rear bench, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. These options can also be added to Accords with the standard engine.
