For 2018, the Accord will come in six trim levels: LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, EX-L Navi and Touring.
The 2018 Honda Accord is available with two turbocharged four-cylinder engines including a 1.5-liter engine with 192 hp. The non-hybrid upgrade engine is a 2.0-liter engine with 252 hp. A six-speed manual is available on the Sport trims for both engines. Automatic transmission options include a CVT for the 1.5-liter unit or a 10-speed transmission for the more powerful 2.0-liter. The Accord Hybrid returns with an updated version of Honda’s two-motor hybrid system that couples a 2.0-liter I-4 to two electric motors and a lithium-ion battery for a total output of 212 hp.
Trunk space on all trim levels is 16.7 cubic feet even in the Accord Hybrid, which now has its batteries placed sensibly under the rear seats.
The list of standard features includes a number of driver aids and active safety features. All trim levels come standard with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic braking, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist and a rear-view camera. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert comes standard on all 2.0-liter-equipped models; it’s optional on the 1.5-liter and hybrid-powered trims.
On top of blind-spot monitoring, 2.0-liter-equipped Accords get LED head- and taillights, proximity entry, remote start, a power moon-roof, a 60/40-split folding rear bench, leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. These options can also be added to Accords with the standard engine.
