Mashable Reviews the New Honda Civic Coupe

The Honda brand has certainly withstood the test of time and remained relevant throughout the last 44 years. They took that time to perfect the small, affordable car and made sporty versions and hybrid versions for more personalization. A perfect example of this is the Honda Civic. The latest generation of the Civic would be considered the “tech” version. This model is so packed with cool features, reporter Nick Jaynes of Mashable didn’t know what to try out first! His first impression was obviously about the exterior of the vehicle. The unit that Jaynes drove around was the eye-catching Energy Green Pearl color, was “chromed-out”, and featured a cool LED tail light bar. Once he got inside, he was equally impressed. The Honda Sensing suite of safety features caught his attention first. The Civic he was driving included Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Forward Collision Warning with Mitigation Braking. Jaynes suggested these advanced safety features have their names changed to semi-autonomous features. He also points out that Honda’s inclusion of these features on such an affordable sedan is a step in the right direction for the auto industry. Why make these life-saving features available only to people who can afford a car that’s over $50,000? Jaynes also remarked on the 7” touchscreen infotainment system, navigation system, and its super crisp handling on the road. To experience all these features and more come into DELLA Honda in Plattsburgh today and we’ll be happy to put you in the driver’s seat! Jaynes, Nick. Honda Features Are Making Your Life Easier

Being a parent is challenging at times. So if something you use on a daily basis, like your car, can make your life a little bit easier why not make sure it really works for you? The engineers at Honda have equipped multiple vehicles with features that will do just that. Built-In Vacuum Cleaner - Messes in cars are the worst. Whether it’s from snack crumbs or dirt, once it gets into the nooks and crannies of the seats and floor it’s nearly impossible to get out. Unless you have a Honda Odyssey equipped with a HondaVac! No more dragging your indoor vacuum out to the driveway to clean the interior of your vehicle. Conversation Mirror - This sneaky feature will give you a view you could only get from having eyes in the back of your head. Turning around to talk to your kids can be dangerous since your eyes are leaving the road, but with this roof-mounted mirror, you’ll have a wide-angle view of everything that’s going on behind you. Test it out for yourself on the Honda CR-V. Power Liftgate - When your arms are full of grocery bags or your youngest child, having a third hand to open the liftgate would be a gift from above. Enter the Honda Pilot and its magical trunk. With just the push of a button all you need is a free finger to access the cargo area of your SUV. Try these features and more by visiting us here at DELLA Honda in Plattsburgh today! No appointment necessary for your test drive either! Clarke, Warren. "6 Car Features Tailor-Made for Moms." Let the Light In!: Benefits To Having A Sunroof

In honor of the unofficial start to summer that arrives this Memorial Day weekend we wanted to bring a relevant feature of some of our Honda vehicles to your attention: the sunroof. Below we have listed just a few of the reasons why you should consider getting a Honda with a sunroof installed. Style - Have you ever gotten into a car with a sunroof and not immediately thought that the car was just a little bit cooler? We didn’t think so. Temperature - Speaking of being cool, having a sunroof open allows warm air to rise right out of your car, allowing cooler air to settle in the cabin. Ventilation - Driving with the windows open is something we love and hate. We like the flow of fresh air, but having them open often comes with a lot of noise. An open sunroof invites in fresh air without having to shout to your passengers over the wind. Brightness - Whether or not you have the actual window open or just the sunshade, the sunroof will let a ton of light into your car. Natural sunlight is something many of don’t get enough of sitting in an office all day so open that sunroof and expose yourself to the benefits of sunshine! Resale Value - Yes, getting a car with a sunroof may cost a little extra when you buy it, but since that sunroof isn’t going anywhere you’ll be able to resell your car at a slightly higher price thanks to the premium feature! If you have any questions about sunroofs, or just want to see which Honda models come with one, stop into DELLA Honda in Plattsburgh and we will gladly help you!

2017 Honda Ridgeline Boosts Fuel Economy

For a long time now, the argument against driving a truck versus a sedan or even a compact SUV, was fuel economy. Honda listened to all the usual complaints like, gas prices are too high, the emissions need to be lower and the MPG needs to be higher, and designed the 2017 Honda Ridgeline. The new pickup brings that brand back into the truck segment in a big way by boosting the fuel economy by 5 MPG. Compared to competitors, the 2017 Ridgeline fares well with gettings 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 highway. With its current rating, it comes close to truck with a four-cylinder and rear-drive. If you’d like to get your hands on a 2017 Honda Ridgeline, keep an eye right here on the DELLA Honda in Plattsburgh blog. We’ll let you know when we have more information on the model and when it’s available on our lot. "2017 Honda Ridgeline Boosts Fuel Economy by 5 Mpg." Autoblog. N.p., 29 Apr. 2016. First Honda Vehicle in the U.S. is Being Restored

Honda is releasing a new video series called #HondaSerialOne, which will follow Honda mechanic, Tim Mings while he restores the very first Honda automobile in the United State, a 1967 Honda N600. Mings, who grew up restoring Honda vehicles with his father, is the only full-time Honda N600 mechanic in the world, having restored over 1,000 of them in his career. There were only 50 1967 Honda N600 vehicles built, and only three have survived. Mings purchased one immediately when he came across it, and owned it for several years before discovering it was Serial 1000001, the first Honda automobile in the U.S. After Tim restores this vehicle, it will be sent to the Honda Museum where Honda fans all over the world can see it and enjoy it. Keep up with Tim on the Honda video series and watch the first installment below! Honda. "Restoring #HondaSerialOne, the First Honda Automobile in the U.S." YouTube. YouTube, 16 Mar. 2016.
